Her Excellency Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo, President of The Philippines stayed at Hotel Nikko Kuala Lumpur recently, in conjunction with the country's 50 th National Day celebration. Her Excellency Arroyo brought approximately 55 delegates with her during the stay at the hotel.
During the 3-day visit, Her Excellency attended a special dinner reception in the hotel which was attended by a large majority of the Philippine community in the city.
Her Excellency Arroyo was sworn as the 14 th President of the Philippines on January 20, 2001 and is also the daughter of the late President and Mrs. Diodedo Macapagal.
