Hotel Nikko Kuala Lumpur organized
a fun-filled
school-holiday cooking class for children, especially
for those who aged between the 9 to 15 years old
recently. Held at Toh Lee Chinese Restaurant Kitchen,
thirty children participated in this one-day cooking
camp conducted by the pastry expert, Chef Partrick
Song.
The event started with a short
briefing by Mr. Azman Ramli, the Assistant Director
of Food & Beverage, who explained on the do's
and don'ts while in the kitchen. Each child was
given a chef's hat and apron, as well as a recipe
booklet before they embarked on their cooking
adventure. Chef Patrick took the children through
a step-by-step process in creating three delights….Mince
Pie, Vanilla Kipferl Cookies and Cupcakes! Besides
few useful tips showed by Chef Patrick, the children
too had an enjoyable time decorating the cupcakes
and cookies, and of course, children got the opportunity
to take home their own creations at the end of
the cooking camp.
