Another exclusive event held
at Hotel Nikko Kuala Lumpur… the Chaine des Rottiseurs
whereby approximately 80 socialites and wine connoisseurs
gathered at Junior Ballroom on Friday, 14th December
to celebrate the pre-festive Christmas.
The Chaine des Rotissuers is
an international gastronomic society that was
founded in Paris in 1950 with the objective of
bringing together professionals (such as chefs,
restaurant and hotel owners and managers) and
non-professional members from around the world
who appreciate wine, cuisine, fine dining and
camaraderie.
The Chaine des Rottiseurs is
organised either internationally by national,
local or provincial Bailliages. A National Bailliage
usually denotes a country whereas a Provincial
Balliage denotes a region within the country and
a Local Bailliage represents a city or town within
the National or Provincial Balliage. This time,
the Chaine des Rottiseurs at Hotel Nikko Kuala
Lumpur was organised by Bailliage de Malaisie
and Putrajaya, Datuk Dr. J.S. Sambi (President/Baille
Delegue de Malasie) and K K Rajah (Bailli de Putrajaya).
Guests were feted with a lavish 5-course wine
pairing whilst Trinidad Group of Companies was
on hand to share some of their finest cigars with
cigar aficionados. Throughout the night, guests
were entertained by bagpipers, Scottish dances,
by the St. Andrews Society and special guest harpist.
