Hotel Nikko Kuala Lumpur is
pleased to announce the promotions of Ron Brooks
as the Resident Manager. He joined Hotel Nikko
Kuala Lumpur in 2006 as the Director of Food &
Beverage team to achieve the highest profit and
third highest overall gross operating profit amongst
the city’s competitive set.
52 year old Ron Brooks of British
nationality began his distinguished career in
the food and beverage industry in 1974. he started
off in the kitchen and has worked for various
prestigious hotel chains including four challenging
years in Sunway Lagoon Resort Hotel in the capacity
as Food & Beverage Director where he was accountable
for the successful opening and operations of six
food and beverage restaurants as well as the impressive
banquet operations’ and to ensure the highest
profitability of the F & B division. His impressive
portfolio also included stints in different parts
of the world such as Australia, Vanuatu, Palau,
Bangkok and various parts of Malaysia.
Ron’s impressive Food
& Beverage track record and standing in the
local industry was recognized when he was recorded
the prestigious Food & Beverage Personality
of the Year at the Asia Platinum Awards 2006/2007
(HAPA). In his new position, Ron will assist the
General Manager in ensuring the smooth operations
of the day apart from playing a dual role as a
Food & Beverage Director.
